The Perfect Foundation for Your Smokestack, With a Fit You Can't Get Anywhere Else.
 
If you've ever struggled to get a perfect, leak-free seal between the smokestack and the boiler, you know the frustration. Original bases are often corroded, cracked from heat stress, or have a distorted mounting surface from decades of use and thermal changes leading to warping. We knew we could create a better solution.
This isn't just a reproduction; it's a precision-engineered foundation for your stack. The process started by 3D scanning the actual boiler barrel of an original smokebox of an early 15Hp M. Rumely. This allowed us to perfectly capture the exact curvature of the mounting surface. From that scan, we created a CAD model and a 3D-printed pattern for sand casting. The result is a base flange that sits perfectly flush against the boiler, creating a tight seal that prevents those annoying exhaust leaks at the source.
We cast these parts in high-strength Ductile Iron, a significant upgrade over the original gray iron. It offers far greater resistance to the constant heat cycles and vibrations that can cause old parts to crack, ensuring this base will last.
 
Need a Custom Fit? We Can Do That.  While this was scanned to fit the 11” OD stack of an early M Rumely, with a barrel of a 30-3/8” OD, these numbers can be changed to fit virtually any application.
